Sam Stoddard and I both cannot attend the next Pro Tour in Kuala Lumpur, so as an experiment he and I did coverage of the last PTQ in Columbus for that tournament. Tournament organizer Mike Guptil elected not to publish it on his website, so you can find it here instead.
I learned a lot while doing this, but the most important thing I learned is that I never want to not play ever again. I enjoy battling too much, and everybody had too much fun for me to not have that next time.
Thanks to Professional Events Services for helping us with this. They run the best events I play in. Also congratulations to Mike Patnik for winning the last available trip to Malaysia in the midwest.

I really enjoyed this coverage, Tom. WoTC official Grand Prix coverage really could learn a lot from the clarity of your style and the little “extra tidbits” such as brief player backgrounds and features. Good job.

Do more coverage like this. It’s nice to have Grand Prix esque coverage at the PTQ level.

Just read this today. Really good stuff. I remember that cube draft, hahaha. Some of the biggest beatings I’ve ever given with that deck, man.
Very good analysis and coverage, though. Good job, Tom.
